Live with its first island council

The digital platform for Maldivian island councils

Every council gets its own public website, a shared administration back office, and a dedicated citizen portal for their residents. Bilingual from the ground up, with Dhivehi treated as a first language rather than a translation.

What's included

Everything a council publishes, in one place

Built from how island councils actually work — not a generic content system with council labels applied.

Announcements with forms

Publish an announcement and attach a form to it. Submissions arrive in the back office with a reference the citizen can quote.

Service directory

Publish every service with prerequisites and downloadable forms. Some are submitted online, some are printed and brought in — both are handled.

Procurement and RFQs

Publish tenders and quotation requests, take registrations online, and keep submissions against the tender they belong to.

Council transparency

Members, terms, staff, meeting records and published decisions — the things residents ask for and councils spend time re-sending.

Finance module

Budget planning, income, payables, a ledger, approvals, vendors and payment batches, with vouchers generated from the record.

Public dashboards

Budget and spending summarised for residents, aggregated in the database rather than assembled in the browser, so it stays fast as records grow.

Media centre

News, press releases, reports, photo galleries, rules and the land use plan, each with its own page and permanent link.

Island map

An interactive map of the island with points of interest your staff maintain.

Drafts & Automated Templates

Automated template-based document processing and drafting. Save countless hours by generating official documents instantly.

Dhivehi first

Thaana typography, right-to-left layout and per-language fonts throughout — not an afterthought bolted onto an English design.

eFaas sign-in

Sign in with the national digital identity. We handle the integration so your residents can securely access your council's services instantly.

Notifications

Tell people when their application moves, instead of making them check.

Security

Built for public records

This holds citizen applications, identity documents and council finances. The separation between councils is enforced by the database, not by trusting the application to remember.

Councils cannot see each other's data

Separation is enforced in the PostgreSQL database itself using Row-Level Security (RLS), not in application code. Standing audits check every table and policy, and a change that would weaken isolation fails before it can be applied.

Your own website, your own domain

Each council is deployed separately with its own address and its own traffic. One council's busy day does not slow another's.

Findable

Every council site ships a sitemap, canonical URLs and structured data, so residents searching for your council actually find it.

Coming next

What we're building

Listed separately from the features above, because none of this has shipped yet.

MyCouncil mobile app

Planned

One app for every council on iOS and Android, built on the same portal citizens already use.

Per-council features

Planned

Councils switch on the modules they need and leave the rest off, so a small island is not handed the same screen as a large one.

Questions

Before you ask

The platform is already built — setting up a council is configuration, not development. The work that takes time is yours: deciding which services to publish and getting the content ready.

Put your council online properly

We'll walk you through it with your own island's content, so you can see what it looks like before deciding anything.
